So I decided to join Mr. Quinn and Mr. Thompson on the monthly theme assignments. The work they did on Bigfoot was really awesome and it inspired me to join in and see what I could do. I started working on this assignment on my 13 hour flight to Hong Kong. I limited myself to three things. Small blunt childs scissors, glue stick and magazines. I had only planned on doing a few but I got hooked and now I am nearing twenty. These are the first nine. The enjoyment of not drawing them is I was able to find the personalities and characters from the shapes I see in the magazines and eventually cut out. It really allowed me to think and design in a more intuitive manner. The next batch should be up in a day or two. Enjoy!

Our friends Kamal and Priya are heading back to New Zealand and I wanted to create an image that would forever remind them of living here in Contra Costa County. This image is where the 24 and 680 meet at Walnut Creek. Kamal and I see this view every day we commute home. This piece was created in mixed media on a 24X24 canvas.
